One
of Litherland's youngest chairman was installed last night
at Litherland Town Hall, by Councillor W. Lawrenson, retiring
chairman. He is Councillor Harold Redding, aged 39, last year's
vice chairman (seen above with his wife).
Councillor Redding, Labour member for Beach Ward, has been a
member of the council for seven years and sits on several council
committees. He lives at 1A Lonsdale
Road, Ford. His wife Mona will be the chairman's lady.
Councillor Redding who was born in Bootle, went to live in Litherland
in 1936. Vice-chairman for the coming year will be Councillor
Jack Owens, also a Labour member for Beach Ward.
